ในประโยคนี้คำว่า "We" ใช้ผิดรูป/ผิดหลัก ต้องเปลี่ยนเป็น "We were" จึงจะถูกต้องตามไวยากรณ์ เหตุผลทางไวยากรณ์: ต้องมี were (We + past) เคล็ดลับจำง่าย ๆ: We + are/were + adj กริยา to be (is / am / are / was / were) เป็นหัวใจของประโยคบอกสภาพและสถานะ คนไทยมักลืมใส่หรือใช้ผิดรูป เพราะภาษาไทยไม่มีกริยา "เป็น/อยู่/คือ" ที่ผันตามประธาน
