วิธีแก้: เปลี่ยนจาก "plays" เป็น "play"
อธิบายหลักไวยากรณ์
ในประโยคนี้คำว่า "plays" ใช้ผิดรูป/ผิดหลัก ต้องเปลี่ยนเป็น "play" จึงจะถูกต้องตามไวยากรณ์ เหตุผลทางไวยากรณ์: children = พหูพจน์ ไม่เติม s ที่กริยา เคล็ดลับจำง่าย ๆ: children/people/men/women = พหูพจน์! ความสอดคล้องระหว่างประธานกับกริยา (subject-verb agreement) คือกฎที่กริยาต้องผันตามจำนวนของประธาน เอกพจน์ใช้รูปหนึ่ง พหูพจน์ใช้อีกรูปหนึ่ง เป็นจุดที่ต้องดูประธานให้ดีก่อนเลือกกริยา
